☹️「be frowned upon」是什麼意思？
​frown 是「皺眉」的意思，be frowned upon/on 表示某件事「不被贊成」或「令人不悅」，讓別人皺眉頭，譬如：Speaking loudly on a mobile phone in public is frowned upon in many cultures.（在許多文化裡，在公共場所大聲講手機會引起不悅。）我們也可以用 disapprove of 表示「不認同」某種行為，譬如：I disapprove of all the violence that is shown on television.（我不認同電視上播出的所有暴力行為。 ）

​💳「請客」的英文怎麼說？​
​我們可以用 on someone 來表達「請客」，像是「我請客」可以說「It’s on me.」或是「My treat.」，treat 就是招待的意思，譬如：You can order anything from the menu. It’s my treat.（菜單上的料理隨你選，我請客。）如果餐廳要招待客人免費的飲料或食物，這時老闆通常會說：This is on the house!（這是店家招待的！）

Starbucks Korea has faced strong backlash over a tumbler promotion called “Tank Day,” launched on May 18. The date marks the anniversary of the 1980 Gwangju Uprising, when South Korea’s military government used tanks to violently suppress pro-democracy protesters. Many found the name deeply inappropriate.

Another slogan used the Korean sound word “tak,” which can suggest the sound of hitting a table. It reminded many people of another dark moment in South Korea’s democracy movement in 1987. Student activist Park Jong-chul died after being tortured by police, but officials first claimed he had collapsed after an officer struck a desk.

Online, some consumers called for a boycott, cut up Starbucks cards, or requested refunds for stored value. President Lee Jae Myung also criticized the campaign. Amid the backlash, Starbucks Korea apologized, and its CEO was dismissed. Shinsegae, its parent company, later said the campaign used AI-generated suggestions and reflected a lack of internal review and historical sensitivity.
